Fifteen Mount Pleasant juniors travelled to the Ulster Junior Open at the weekend. The largest travelling contingent from Mount Pleasant so far to a ranking tournament. Denis Gilevskiy and Sean Murphy both winning the U11 and U13 boys titles 3-0. Sean beating his firce clubmate rival, Jack O'Flynn, this time round - Jack beat Sean in the Connacht Junior Open final in September. In fact the top 3 finishing positions in the U11 boys were occupied by the promising Mount Pleasant trio of Sean, Jack O'Flynn and Eliot kelly. Scott Gillanders and Brenda Li were placed second on this ocassion both finals very close nail bitting 3-2 defeats. Harry LLoyd was runner up in the U 19 boys. Sasha Zheleznyak improved on her placing in the Connacht Junior Open with a strong 5 place finish only losing one match to the eventual winner.
