Mount Pleasant Handicap Tournament 2015

The handicap tournament draw is available on the club notice board or online here:

 Matches are the best of three sets, with short games (first point after deuce and short sets (first to 6 games).  At deuce, man serves to man and woman to woman in mixed doubles. In Men’s and Ladies doubles, the receiving pair chooses which player will receive serve.

•  Players should arrange their own matches to be played by the deadlines indicated below.
•  Match winners should enter the score, and contact their next round opponents (if known) immediately.

Handicap Round Schedule

• Schedule for Ladies Singles, Men’s Singles and Mixed doubles

• Round 1: Play on or before Saturday August 8
• Round 2: Play on or before Saturday August 22
• Round 3: Play on or before Saturday August 29
• Quarter Final: Play on or before Saturday September 5
• Semi Final: Play by Saturday September 12
• Final: Play on Saturday September 19 (Finals day)

• Schedule for Ladies & Men’s Doubles

• Round 1: Play on or before Wednesday August 12th
• Round 2: Play on or before Tuesday August 25th
• Quarter Final: Play on or before Saturday September 5th.
• Semi Final: Play by Saturday September 12.
• Final: Play on Saturday September 19 (Finals day)

Players must be available to play in the finals on Saturday 19 September 2015 (NO EXCEPTIONS)

If you are unable to play the final, you are expected to concede your next match at match point and let your opponents proceed in the draw.

Please note that there will be no extension available past 5th Sept for the quarterfinal deadline due to club championships.

All entry fees must be paid before commencing your first match

HANDICAPPING SYSTEM EXAMPLES

• If handicap is –15, you start every game at –15
• If handicap is +15.2, you start 2 games out of the 6 at +30, the other games at +15.
• If both handicaps are positive (or both are negative), take the difference (e.g. +30 vs +15 becomes +15 vs Scratch)
