Christmas Message from Management
Dear Member,
As we approach the end of 2010 we'd like to take this opportunity to wish you and your families a very happy Christmas and New Year.
2010 has been a challenging year but there have been many successes. Badminton won the Irish Senior Cup and represented Ireland in the European Club Championships. Our new ladies Squash champion is the youngest champion in the club's history at 13 years of age. Tennis achieved several league promotions and the club hosted a European Junior tennis ranking event for the first time. We upgraded our tennis floodlighting from yellow to white, installed a new Squash floor, added new balcony furniture and enhanced other facilities.
Despite difficult economic times, we maintained our membership numbers in 2010. We've added extra activities to the clubs portfolio, for example, cardio tennis and art classes, snooker and table tennis tournaments. From January 2011, Yoga and other tennis classes will be available, we are also about to relaunch our Therapy/Treatment room and circuit classes continue to be popular.
Our new social committee have done fantastic work throughout the year, especially in rejuvenating Friday night social tennis, with record numbers attending. We have also upgraded our website www.mountpleasantltc.ie where you will now find all the weekly social and club information.
Don't miss the 505 on Friday 7th January, the attendance rollover is now 2,300 euro!
l'd also like to take this opportunity to thank all voluntary committee members, staff and you the members for making 2010 such a successful year.
